Hiệu suất của các nữ doanh nhân liên quan đến đóng góp của họ cho sinh kế gia đình tại các nước đang phát triển vẫn chưa được nghiên cứu đầy đủ, mặc dù đây là tiềm năng quan trọng trong việc giải quyết nghèo đói và những nguyên nhân gốc rễ của nó. Hiệu suất của họ có thể được đặc trưng bởi nhiều khía cạnh khác nhau. Ngoài hiệu suất kinh doanh (ví dụ: lợi nhuận và tăng trưởng), các nữ doanh nhân còn hướng tới hiệu suất cá nhân và xã hội.
