Tóm tắt

The motivational index and the demand index were developed to forecast the motivations and intentions of high school students toward postsecondary education. These indices were tested with surveys of more than 13,000 high school students and validated with respect to actual outcomes by surveying more than 5,000 students as to their post-high school plans. The theoretical basis of these indices, their use in enrollment forecasting, and the accuracy of the enrollment prediction model are discussed in this paper.
