Sự thiếu hụt thực phẩm và các hậu quả trong đại dịch COVID-19 ở châu Phi cận Sahara (SSA)

Sự bùng phát của COVID-19 đã dẫn đến việc thực hiện các biện pháp phong tỏa và quy định về giãn cách xã hội nhằm hạn chế sự lây lan của dịch bệnh. Hệ quả là các biện pháp phong tỏa đã cản trở sự di chuyển của nông dân quy mô nhỏ, các đầu vào nông nghiệp và sản phẩm thực phẩm, từ đó làm gián đoạn chuỗi cung ứng thực phẩm ở vùng SSA. Do đó, bài báo này xem xét mối quan hệ giữa các chỉ số an ninh thực phẩm (khả năng tiếp cận, tính sẵn có, mức sử dụng, sự ổn định) và COVID-19. Nghiên cứu sử dụng các mô hình hồi quy bình phương tối thiểu thông thường (OLS) để nghiên cứu mối quan hệ giữa các chỉ số an ninh thực phẩm và COVID-19. Nghiên cứu xem xét 9 trong số 48 quốc gia khu vực cận Sahara châu Phi (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal) do những hạn chế về việc sẵn có dữ liệu.
