Problems of flows in the initial sections of plane, circular and annular channels are solved by numerical integration of the Navier-Stokes equations on the interval 10 ⩽ Rb, ⩽ 3000. The initial section is considered to be the part of the flow where the local Reynolds number does not exceed the critical value.
