Flavor dependence of spontaneous pair creation

A theoretical formalism developed previously by the authors is applied to OZI-allowed decays of isospin one mesons. The emphasis lies on a study of the branching ratios of decays into strange versus non-strange decay products. This results in a clear test in favour of the explicit quark mass dependence in the non-local pair creation amplitude, just as predicted in our earlier work.
