Xác định và định vị chính xác ub4 như một gen ứng cử liên quan đến số lượng nhánh bắp cải ở ngô (Zea mays L.)

Số lượng nhánh bắp cải ở ngô là một đặc điểm nông học quan trọng và đã được nghiên cứu ngày càng nhiều trong các chương trình chọn giống ngô. Trong nghiên cứu này, chúng tôi đã phân lập một cặp dòng chị em (Lx1 và Lx2) liên quan đến đặc điểm nhánh bắp cải. Lx1 thể hiện kiểu hình bắp cải không có nhánh trong khi Lx2 có từ 5 đến 8 nhánh bắp cải. Phân tích di truyền cho thấy rằng đặc điểm bắp cải không có nhánh được điều khiển bởi một gen lặn được chỉ định là nhánh bắp cải 4 (ub4). Một quần thể F2 bao gồm 6782 cá thể đã được phát triển để xác định chính xác vị trí của ub4. Cuối cùng, ub4 được xác định tại một vùng dài 88,2-kb trên nhiễm sắc thể thứ 6, nơi chứa năm gen ứng cử. Phân tích phản ứng chuỗi polymerase thời gian thực định lượng (qRT-PCR) cho thấy rằng gen Zm00001d038546 trong vùng này có sự biểu hiện khác biệt đáng kể giữa Lx1 và Lx2.
