Các doanh nghiệp cần phải chuyển mình một cách mạnh mẽ để duy trì hoạt động và tồn tại. Đại dịch đã cho thấy cách mà các doanh nghiệp gia đình (FBs) giải quyết các vấn đề phức tạp nhanh chóng hơn so với các doanh nghiệp không phải gia đình. Họ đã thể hiện tính linh hoạt trong việc chuyển đổi và thích ứng nhờ vào sự gần gũi với quy trình và quản lý của doanh nghiệp, cùng với mạng lưới xã hội bên trong và bên ngoài tổ chức, cho phép họ đáp ứng nhanh chóng các nhu cầu thị trường dựa trên quy trình ra quyết định nhanh chóng. Kiến thức của các doanh nghiệp gia đình, được ẩn chứa trong các giá trị của họ, trong quy trình ra quyết định, và kéo dài qua nhiều thế hệ, đòi hỏi một sự quản lý bền bỉ và vững mạnh.
