Tóm tắt Mục tiêu Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu là xác định các yếu tố liên quan đến nguy cơ nghi ngờ chậm phát triển (SDD) ở trẻ em có nguy cơ cao tại Thái Lan. Phương pháp Chúng tôi đã sử dụng dữ liệu về trẻ em tham gia sàng lọc chậm phát triển (DD) trên toàn Thái Lan được thu thập bởi Viện Phát triển Trẻ em Rajanagarindra, Cục Sức khỏe Tâm thần, Bộ Y tế Công cộng Thái Lan. Những trẻ em dưới 5 tuổi có cân nặng khi sinh dưới 2500 g và/hoặc bị ngạt thở khi sinh tại Thái Lan có nguy cơ cao về DD đã được đánh giá sử dụng Sổ tay Đánh giá Phát triển cho Can thiệp (DAIM) từ tháng 8 năm 2013 đến tháng 11 năm 2019 (N = 14.314). Kết quả Những trẻ em có nguy cơ cao có tuổi thai khi sinh <37 tuần (tỷ lệ odds điều chỉnh = 1.54; khoảng tin cậy 95% = 1.39–1.70) và/hoặc có cân nặng khi sinh <2500 g (1.22; 1.02–1.45), hoặc có mẹ không phải là viên chức nhà nước (1.46; 1.11–1.93), có trình độ học vấn thấp (1.36; 1.19–1.55), có tình trạng dinh dưỡng kém (1.34; 1.09–1.65), và/hoặc sống ở khu vực cao nguyên (1.59; 1.32–1.91) có nguy cơ cao hơn về SDD. Kết luận cho Thực hành Trẻ em có cân nặng khi sinh thấp và/hoặc bị ngạt thở trong khi sinh có nguy cơ cao về DD. Việc giám sát SDD của trẻ em bởi các nhân viên y tế cộng đồng và/hoặc phát triển các chiến lược tiếp cận, đặc biệt là ở những khu vực bị thiệt thòi, cần được xem xét. Thêm vào đó, việc phát triển chính sách, hướng dẫn và can thiệp cho trẻ em có nguy cơ cao nên được thực hiện để giảm thiểu các vấn đề phát sinh do việc phát hiện muộn DD.
