Tự kỳ thị (IH) là sự nội tâm hóa các thái độ kỳ thị đồng tính bởi các nhóm thiểu số tình dục do định kiến xã hội. Cần có nghiên cứu trong tương lai để xác định thêm các điều kiện khác mà trong đó IH có thể quan trọng cho việc hiểu các hành vi rủi ro ở YMSM, điều này rất cần thiết để phát triển các nỗ lực phòng ngừa và can thiệp mục tiêu.
