Bất công nhận thức là vấn đề không công bằng với những tuyên bố tri thức của một người và nó tồn tại phổ biến trong các tương tác hàng ngày của chúng ta. Nó có thể được truy nguyên từ sự nhạy cảm của tâm trí con người đối với các thiên lệch và méo mó nhận thức. Bài báo bàn luận về một số cách đề xuất nhằm giảm thiểu bất công nhận thức và gợi ý rằng nỗ lực này cần có những cố gắng ở nhiều chiều hướng khác nhau. Bài báo cố gắng chứng minh rằng những nỗ lực hiện có để chống lại bất công nhận thức cần được bổ sung bằng cách nhìn vào chính cách mà bản ngã được khái niệm hóa một cách tự động. Sự chuyển đổi từ chế độ ghi nhớ hoặc chế độ kể chuyện về bản thân sang chế độ trải nghiệm hoặc theo từng sự kiện sẽ giúp kiềm chế các thiên lệch gây hiểu lầm và giảm thiểu bất công nhận thức. Các thực hành như chánh niệm có thể giúp rất nhiều trong nhiệm vụ này.
