Khả năng tạo enzym và độc tố của nấm cơ hội gây ô nhiễm các đơn vị chăm sóc đặc biệt và phòng phẫu thuật tại Bệnh viện Đại học Assiut, Ai Cập

Tổng cộng có 110 mẫu nấm thuộc 8 loài nấm đã được thu thập từ các đơn vị chăm sóc tích cực (ICUs) và phòng phẫu thuật (ORs) tại các bệnh viện Đại học Assiut được kiểm tra khả năng sản xuất một số enzym ngoại bào và mycotoxin, đây được coi là những yếu tố quan trọng liên quan đến khả năng gây bệnh của nấm. Kết quả cho thấy rằng 73, 92 và 78 trong số 110 mẫu đã được kiểm tra có khả năng sản xuất protease, lipase và urease tương ứng; trong khi đó, 77 mẫu đã kiểm tra thể hiện một số hoạt động huyết tan. Phân tích sắc ký (TLC) của chiết xuất thô từ các mẫu nấm được kiểm tra cho thấy 79 mẫu trong số đó có khả năng sản xuất ít nhất một trong các hợp chất mycotoxic này (aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, gliotoxin, fumigillin, T-2, zearalenone, roridin A & E, verrucarin A & J, trichoveroids, satratoxin H & E). Các kết quả này cho thấy các loài nấm cơ hội được phân lập từ ICUs và ORs và đã được kiểm tra cho thấy khả năng enzym và mycotoxic của chúng là những yếu tố virulence hiệu quả nhất góp phần vào khả năng gây bệnh của nấm, điều này cho thấy rằng việc quản lý đơn vị kiểm soát nhiễm khuẩn tại các bệnh viện Đại học Assiut cần phải nhận thức không chỉ về ô nhiễm vi khuẩn mà còn về ô nhiễm nấm.
