Các vấn đề về cảm xúc và hành vi đã được điều tra ở trẻ em có cha hoặc mẹ mắc bệnh đa xơ cứng (MS), liên quan đến các yếu tố như sự rối loạn chức năng gia đình, chứng trầm cảm ở cha mẹ và các đặc điểm liên quan đến bệnh tật. Đối tượng tham gia nghiên cứu là 56 bệnh nhân MS, bạn đời của họ và một trẻ em được chọn ngẫu nhiên trong độ tuổi từ 4 đến 17, cùng với nhóm so sánh gồm 64 trẻ em và cả cha mẹ của chúng, không ai trong số họ báo cáo có bệnh lý cơ thể.
