Nghiên cứu đã xem xét ảnh hưởng của kích thước hạt và thành phần pha đến hệ số áp điện của gốm BaTi0.98Hf0.02O3 được chuẩn bị ở một loạt các nhiệt độ nung (1320, 1350, 1370 và 1400 °C). Kết quả cho thấy kích thước hạt của gốm là 0,9, 21,3, 21,6 và 37,2 μm, tương ứng, và các thành phần pha tương ứng là tetragonal-orthogonal, tetragonal-orthogonal-rhombhedral, tetragonal-orthogonal và tetragonal-orthogonal-rhombhedral. Hệ số áp điện lần lượt là 475, 352, 258 và 327 pC/N, nghĩa là nó giảm trước và sau đó tăng lên khi kích thước hạt tăng. Các thành phần pha và kích thước hạt của gốm có mối liên hệ với nhau, và chúng đồng ảnh hưởng đến hệ số áp điện.
