Phân tích tổng hợp này là một đánh giá có hệ thống về bằng chứng liên quan đến tác động của giảm căng thẳng dựa trên chánh niệm (MBSR) và liệu pháp nhận thức dựa trên chánh niệm (MBCT) đối với chất lượng cuộc sống (QOL), cơn đau, sự mệt mỏi, lo âu và trầm cảm ở bệnh nhân ung thư. Đến tháng 7 năm 2020, các cơ sở dữ liệu PubMed, Cochrane Library và Embase đã được tìm kiếm cho các thử nghiệm lâm sàng ngẫu nhiên (RCTs). Nghiên cứu bao gồm 18 RCT. Can thiệp MBSR/MBCT đã mang lại tác động đáng kể đến QOL (SMD 0.80, CI 0.28, 1.32, I2 = 94%). Trong phân tích nhóm, các can thiệp MBSR/MBCT có tác động đáng kể ở giai đoạn ung thư sớm về lo âu (SMD − 3.48, CI − 4.07, − 2.88) và QOL (SMD 4.30, CI 3.62, 4.99); trong việc làm giảm cơn đau (SMD − 0.42, CI − 0.70, − 0.14) trong vòng 4 tuần sau khi kết thúc can thiệp, và làm giảm sự mệt mỏi ở những người tham gia trẻ tuổi (SMD − 0.64, CI − 1.09, − 0.19). MBSR/MBCT có tác động ngắn hạn đến bệnh nhân ung thư, đặc biệt ở những bệnh nhân trẻ tuổi và ở các giai đoạn ung thư sớm.
