Tóm tắt

The effect of substitutional element aluminum (Al) on the cementite growth from austenite phase in Fe–C–Al alloy was simulated using ThermoCalc–Dictra software. The simulation is based on diffusional reactions of multi components in the system. The distribution of elements across the interface of cementite and austenite phases and cementite fraction as a function of time for different Al concentrations in Fe–C–Al system were evaluated. It has been found that the presence of Al retards the growth of cementite which attributes to the negligible solubility of Al in the cementite phase.
