Can thiệp nong bóng xuyên thành động mạch đối với hẹp động mạch chủ đã được thực hiện cho một bé trai một ngày tuổi. Em bé đã qua đời 10 giờ sau đó trong quá trình phẫu thuật cắt van động mạch chủ. Kết quả khám nghiệm cho thấy có một phình động mạch chủ ngang phân ly.
