Các bác sĩ nội trú tâm thần Hà Lan bị sa thải khỏi chương trình đào tạo có cơ hội kháng cáo quyết định này. Các đơn kháng cáo này được công khai. Báo cáo này khám phá các đơn kháng cáo của các bác sĩ nội trú bị sa thải do hành vi thiếu chuyên nghiệp. Các tác giả đã phân tích các vụ án của các bác sĩ nội trú tâm thần bị sa thải được đưa ra trước hội đồng hòa giải của Hiệp hội Y tế Hoàng gia Hà Lan và so sánh chúng với một nhóm đối chứng gồm các vụ án của các bác sĩ nội trú y học gia đình bị sa thải.
