Tóm tắtSau gần ba thập kỷ nghiên cứu và phát triển căn bản, các hợp kim titanium aluminide dạng intermetallic dựa trên pha γ‐TiAl có cấu trúc thứ bậc đã tìm thấy ứng dụng trong ngành công nghiệp ô tô và động cơ hàng không. Những lợi thế của lớp vật liệu tiên tiến chịu nhiệt này là tính chất mật độ thấp, cũng như độ bền và độ trượt tốt lên đến 750 °C cùng với khả năng kháng oxi hóa và cháy tốt. Các hợp kim TiAl tiên tiến là những hợp kim đa pha phức tạp có thể được chế biến bằng phương pháp luyện kim thỏi hoặc bột, cũng như các phương pháp đúc chính xác. Mỗi quy trình dẫn đến các cấu trúc vi mô đặc trưng, có thể được thay đổi và tối ưu hóa thông qua xử lý nhiệt cơ học và/hoặc các điều trị nhiệt sau đó. Nội dung của bài báo bao gồm các chiến lược thiết kế hợp kim, tiến bộ trong chế biến, sự tiến hóa cấu trúc vi mô, các tính chất cơ học cũng như các khía cạnh ứng dụng, nhưng cũng chỉ ra cách các phương pháp ex situ và in situ tinh vi có thể được sử dụng để thiết lập các biểu đồ pha và điều tra sự tiến hóa của cấu trúc vi mô và nano trong quá trình gia công nóng và các điều trị nhiệt tiếp theo.
