Mục đích của nghiên cứu này là đánh giá tác động của kích thích carbohydrate cao sớm lên chuyển hóa glucose ở cá vảy (Danio rerio) qua hai thế hệ và khám phá các cơ chế giải thích những tác động lập trình dinh dưỡng này thông qua các chỉnh sửa di truyền biểu sinh. Ấu trùng được cung cấp chế độ ăn giàu carbohydrate (53,66%) đã được sử dụng như một kích thích dinh dưỡng sớm từ lần cho ăn đầu tiên cho đến khi kết thúc túi noãn (FF) và 5 ngày sau khi hết túi noãn (YE).
