Sự phát triển, sinh sản và tuổi thọ của Cybocephalus micans Reitter và C. nigriceps nigriceps (Sahlberg) đã được nghiên cứu dưới điều kiện phòng thí nghiệm kiểm soát. Dữ liệu thu được giải thích sự phân bố của 2 loài thiên địch này trong các vùng khí hậu khác nhau của Israel. Trong điều kiện nhiệt độ ổn định dao động từ 16° đến 36° C, thời gian phát triển của trứng, ấu trùng và nhộng của 2 loài đã trở nên ngắn hơn khi nhiệt độ tăng. Đối với mỗi giai đoạn phát triển, tại mỗi nhiệt độ thử nghiệm, thời gian phát triển trung bình của C. n. nigriceps cao hơn so với C. micans. Thời gian trung bình cần thiết để hoàn thành một thế hệ ở 28° C là khoảng 39 ngày đối với C. micans, so với 56 ngày đối với C. n. nigriceps. Sản lượng con của cả hai loài cybocephalid cao hơn và tuổi thọ trưởng thành lâu hơn ở 28° C so với 32° C.
