Coherent excitation of multilevel systems by laser radiation

Different problems of coherent quasi-resonant excitation of multilevel systems in monochromatic radiation fields are discussed. Analytically solvable examples are presented, and, on this basis, some principal effects of cohrent multilevel dynamics are treated.
