Nhiễm virus bạch cầu ở bò lâm sàng và tiềm ẩn trong một đàn bò sữa ở Zambia

Virus bạch cầu ở bò (BLV) gây bệnh bạch cầu ở bò theo mùa (EBL) và là nguyên nhân gây ra thiệt hại kinh tế đáng kể cho ngành chăn nuôi bò trên toàn cầu. Tuy nhiên, thông tin về căn bệnh này ở châu Phi còn hạn chế. Bài báo này dựa trên các phân tích lâm sàng, huyết học, bệnh lý và phân tử, đã xác nhận hai trường hợp lâm sàng của EBL trong một đàn bò sữa tại Zambia. Ngược lại, DNA tiên phát đã được phát hiện bằng phương pháp PCR ở năm con bò có vẻ khỏe mạnh từ cùng một đàn, cho thấy sự nhiễm BLV tiềm ẩn. Phân tích Phylogenetic của gen env cho thấy BLV được xác định đã kết cụm với các chủng kiểu gene 4 ở vùng Eurasia. Đây là báo cáo đầu tiên về EBL được xác nhận tại Zambia.
