U nang tế bào khổng lồ trung tâm (CGCG) là một khối u lành tính, mạnh mẽ và phá hủy xương, xuất hiện ở vùng sọ mặt. Trong tất cả các dạng tổn thương tế bào khổng lồ, CGCG là phổ biến nhất và có tần suất cao hơn trong dân số Ấn Độ. Nguyên nhân và cơ chế sinh bệnh của các tổn thương này vẫn còn là một điều bí ẩn và cần được phân biệt với các tổn thương tương tự khác để lên kế hoạch điều trị đúng đắn. Bài viết trình bày một trường hợp CGCG lớn hủy hoại liên quan đến vùng hàm dưới trước, gây ra sự hút xương rộng rãi và sự mở rộng của vỏ xương bên má cũng như bên lưỡi, ở một trẻ em 9 tuổi. Trẻ đã được điều trị thành công bằng phẫu thuật cắt u và nạo vét tích cực, tiếp theo là cắt bỏ xương ngoại vi mà vẫn bảo tồn tính liên tục của xương hàm. Ngoài ra, một tổng quan tài liệu đã được trình bày.
