Để phân tách enantiomer một cách hiệu quả, tám vật liệu đóng gói chiral dạng hạt lai hữu cơ-vô cơ (CPMs) với hàm lượng hữu cơ cao đã được phát triển bằng cách sử dụng cellulose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamates) mang một lượng nhỏ nhóm 3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl và tetraethyl orthosilicate thông qua quá trình Stöber đã được điều chỉnh trong điều kiện kiềm.
