Trong giai đoạn 1976–1990, tổng cộng 282 bệnh nhân bị uremia mãn tính đã được thực hiện lọc màng bụng bằng các catheter Tenckhoff được cấy ghép vào bụng, trong đó 170 catheter cần phải được thay thế.
