Abamectin (ABM) là một tác nhân chống giun và diệt côn trùng rất hiệu quả, được sử dụng rộng rãi. Trong nghiên cứu này, chúng tôi đã điều tra các tác dụng bảo vệ của este phenethyl axit caffeic (CAPE) và betaine (BET) đối với độc tính trên gan và thận do ABM gây ra ở chuột. Bốn mươi con chuột đã được chia thành năm nhóm, nhận dung dịch muối sinh lý uống (nhóm chứng bình thường), ABM đường uống với liều 2 mg/kg BW (1/5 LD50), CAPE (10 μmol/kg BW qua đường bụng) sau đó là ABM, hoặc bổ sung BET với liều 250 mg/kg BW sau khi uống ABM, trong khi nhóm V chuột nhận một sự kết hợp của CAPE qua đường bụng và BET đường uống với cùng liều trước khi nhận ABM. Phân tích sinh hóa cho thấy việc sử dụng ABM đã làm tăng đáng kể (p < 0.05) mức độ aminotransferase, phosphatase kiềm, lactate dehydrogenase và cholesterol trong huyết thanh, cũng như creatinine và urê trong huyết thanh. So với nhóm chứng, chuột bị ngộ độc ABM có nồng độ nitric oxide và malondialdehyde mô một cách đáng kể (p < 0.05) cao hơn, cũng như nồng độ glutathione mô thấp hơn, khả năng oxy hóa tổng thể và hoạt động enzym chống oxy hóa (glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase, và catalase). Khám nghiệm mô bệnh học của các mô gan và thận của chuột bị ngộ độc ABM cho thấy có sự thay đổi viêm cấp tính và hoại tử. Việc điều trị trước bằng CAPE và/hoặc BET đã đảo ngược các biến đổi sinh hóa và mô bệnh học của ABM trên gan và thận. Do đó, CAPE và BET (một mình hoặc kết hợp) có thể là những tác nhân bảo vệ tiềm năng chống lại độc tính trên gan và thận do ABM gây ra. Các nghiên cứu trong tương lai nên xác nhận các phát hiện của chúng tôi và đánh giá các tác động phân tử khác liên quan đến sự bảo vệ hóa học kết hợp của CAPE và BET.
