Mối liên hệ giữa Hoạt động Tình dục, Các loại Mối quan hệ và Sức khỏe ở độ tuổi Trung niên và Lão niên

Mặc dù có một lượng nghiên cứu ngày càng tăng về tình dục ở giữa và những năm cuối đời, nhưng vẫn còn rất ít thông tin về mối liên hệ giữa hoạt động tình dục, các loại mối quan hệ và sức khỏe. Bài báo này phân tích dữ liệu từ Khảo sát Sức khỏe, Lão hóa và Nghỉ hưu tại Châu Âu (SHARE) cho nhóm dân số gồm các đối tượng cư trú tại Cộng hòa Séc (N = 1304, 49% phụ nữ; Mage = 69.1, SDage = 8.0). Các mô hình hồi quy thứ bậc cho thấy rằng những người tham gia vào các loại mối quan hệ mới hình thành hoặc ít truyền thống hơn, chẳng hạn như hẹn hò, mối quan hệ sống tách biệt (Living-Apart-Together - LAT) và chung sống, báo cáo tần suất hoạt động tình dục cao hơn so với những người đã kết hôn. Tổng thể, nhóm mối quan hệ hẹn hò và LAT thể hiện tần suất tình dục cao nhất và tỷ lệ mắc bệnh mãn tính thấp nhất. Những người trong các cuộc hôn nhân và chung sống có mức độ bệnh mãn tính tương đương. Những phát hiện này cho thấy hoạt động tình dục có mối liên hệ chặt chẽ với các mối quan hệ trong giai đoạn sau của cuộc đời và tần suất tình dục có thể thay đổi tùy theo loại mối quan hệ. Nghiên cứu trong tương lai có thể có lợi từ việc khám phá mức độ mà tình dục trong mối quan hệ đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc duy trì các mối quan hệ giữa những người lớn tuổi sống tách biệt.
