Analysis of the Physical and Chemical Properties of Fat Coal at Different Pyrolysis Temperatures in UCG Environment

To explore the physicochemical properties of fat coal at different pyrolysis temperatures in UCG environment. In this study, aiming at the temperature variation range in the process of UCG reaction, the pyrolysis experiments of fat coal in Tianjin Qianjiaying Coal Mine at 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1000°C were carried out by using a high-temperature tubular pyrolysis furnace. XRD and FTIR analyzed the sample. The results show that with the increase of the pyrolysis temperature, the half-width of 002 and the 100 diffraction peaks in the XRD diffraction pattern have certain regularity. Moreover, due to the influence of depolymerization and polycondensation, the change of crystalline structure parameters with temperature shows obvious phase characteristics. During the pyrolysis process, most of the C–H and C–O functional groups will precipitate out along with the volatiles, which is manifested in that the absorption peak intensity of the band to which the functional group belongs is weakened to varying degrees.
