Nghiên cứu mô tả quá trình gây mê cho chín bệnh nhân mắc hội chứng carcinoid. Với một trường hợp ngoại lệ xảy ra co thắt phế quản nghiêm trọng và tăng huyết áp, các biến chứng khác đều nhẹ. Steroid, aprotonin và methotrimeprazine có vẻ là các tác nhân hữu ích trong việc quản lý những bệnh nhân này. Một kỹ thuật gây mê sử dụng thiopentone, pancuronium và khí nitrous oxide đã chứng minh là thỏa mãn.
