An astronomical determination of the turbidity parameters of the atmosphere

A number of star observations, which were carried out at the Stephanion Observatory located in southern Greece, was analysed in order to determine the turbidity parameters α and β of the atmosphere. The method used is a modification of the de Vaucouleurs' method (1965) employing least squares analysis. The results which were found for these parameters are bounded in the expected limits.
