Air conditioning. Its role in air quality control

This article is the preamble to a series of texts concerning air-conditioning in France. The author begins by defining a certain quantity of terms which are used in air-conditioning, the meanings of which might not be the same for everyone. Then he points out that whatever the climate, air-conditioning equipments are necessary as soon as individuals liver and work in a closed and well isolated place. Because human activity is basically found in such places, air-conditioning is therefore necessary to maintain the air-quality.
