NAFO (North-West Atlantic Fisheries Organization) is the successor to ICNAF (International Commission for North-West Atlantic Fisheries) established in 1949. During the years when NEAFC was inoperative, ICES was invited once a year to so-called Dialogue Meetings (since 1980), where management authorities met with scientists to discuss general problems. Reports of the meetings are available as issues in the Cooperative Research Reports series.
