Advanced lead-acid batteries

Lead-acid batteries seemed to be at the end of optimizations. They were used for starting the motor and in AGM design for start-stop systems. Now, Exide Technologies presents an advanced lead-acid battery fulfilling the power needs of hybrid powertrains up to fullhybrids. The authors show the potentials of lead acid and a special roadmap which comprises the integration of the new techniques into vehicles.
