Thuật toán cây quyết định cung cấp một trong những phương pháp phổ biến nhất để thu nhận tri thức biểu tượng. Kiến thức thu được, một cây quyết định biểu tượng cùng với một cơ chế suy diễn đơn giản, đã được đánh giá cao về tính minh bạch. Các cây quyết định dễ hiểu nhất đã được thiết kế cho dữ liệu biểu tượng hoàn hảo. Trong những năm qua, các phương pháp bổ sung đã được điều tra và đề xuất để xử lý dữ liệu liên tục hoặc dữ liệu đa giá trị, cũng như với các thuộc tính bị thiếu hoặc có nhiễu. Gần đây, với sự gia tăng phổ biến của đại diện mờ, một số nhà nghiên cứu đã đề xuất việc sử dụng đại diện mờ trong cây quyết định để xử lý các tình huống tương tự. Bài báo này trình bày một khảo sát về các phương pháp hiện tại để thiết kế Cây Quyết Định Mờ (FDT) và các vấn đề khác nhau tồn tại. Sau khi xem xét những lợi thế tiềm năng của bộ phân loại FDT so với các bộ phân loại cây quyết định truyền thống, chúng tôi thảo luận về các chủ đề của FDT bao gồm các tiêu chí chọn thuộc tính, suy diễn cho việc phân công quyết định và tiêu chí dừng.
