Trong bài viết này, chúng tôi trình bày một lý thuyết âm vị học cho hiện tượng gắn kết giữa mốc câu với hạt -yo trong tiếng Hàn. Lựa chọn một phương pháp tiếp cận phát sinh để hình thành thứ bậc âm vị, chúng tôi lập luận rằng một khi hạt này gắn kết với mép của một đơn vị âm vị mà Spell-Out xác định, nó phải được đặt ở mép của một thành tố âm vị trong suốt quá trình phát sinh âm vị. Chúng tôi chứng minh rằng lý thuyết âm vị này cũng cung cấp một giải thích đơn giản cho một số hiện tượng mà các phân tích cú pháp/hình thái học trước đây vẫn còn gây bối rối.
