Nghiên cứu này báo cáo về ý định nghề nghiệp của 179 sinh viên y khoa năm cuối đã hoàn thành một cuộc khảo sát trực tuyến bao gồm các thước đo về tính cách, giá trị, kỳ vọng nghề nghiệp và lối sống, cũng như sự thịnh vượng của họ. Phân tích hồi quy logistic đã xác định các yếu tố quyết định đến chuyên ngành y tế ưa thích, địa điểm hành nghề và số giờ làm việc. Việc hiểu rõ những kỳ vọng và giá trị của thế hệ bác sĩ này sẽ hỗ trợ các nhà hoạch định lực lượng lao động trong việc giải quyết tình trạng thiếu hụt và phân bố không đồng đều các bác sĩ.
