Tóm tắt
The popularity of the Internet has opened up many ways to distribute information to a desired audience. The information usually comes in the way of web sites, chat rooms, newsgroups, etc. Although the above methods of presenting information are invaluable, technology has come to the stage in which a more robust method of presenting information can be widely distributed. This paper presents a new method to distribute information through the use of real-time, three dimensional graphics, which can be easily created, modified and viewed in most web browsers using standard Internet protocols. In addition to viewing three dimensional presentations, the 3D environment creator and visitors to that environment have the option of being present, in the form of avatars, inside the virtual world, similar in concept to a virtual classroom. This allows the virtual world creator to move around the scene and point out various areas of interest, and allows visitors to move around the scene, viewing the presentation and asking questions of the creator.
