An ninh lương thực toàn cầu phụ thuộc chủ yếu vào ba thành phần: khả năng cung cấp thực phẩm, khả năng tiếp cận thực phẩm và sử dụng thực phẩm. Các biến thể khu vực của những thành phần này có thể ảnh hưởng đến an ninh lương thực thông qua sự khác biệt về không gian trong các điều kiện tự nhiên, xã hội hoặc kinh tế và sự tương tác của chúng trong một hệ thống môi trường phức tạp. Việc hiểu sự biến đổi khu vực của an ninh lương thực là rất quan trọng, đặc biệt là ở đâu và trong điều kiện tự nhiên và kinh tế - xã hội nào mà con người trở nên dễ bị tổn thương với an ninh lương thực thấp trong một quốc gia. Bài báo này cung cấp một cái nhìn tổng quan về an ninh lương thực tại Bangladesh dựa trên ba thành phần chính, xác định những khoảng trống kiến thức trong nghiên cứu an ninh lương thực hiện tại, đánh giá những tác động có thể của biến đổi khí hậu đến an ninh lương thực và thu thập một loạt dữ liệu không gian-thời gian liên quan đến an ninh lương thực. Nghiên cứu làm nổi bật tiềm năng và chỉ ra các quy trình khác nhau để phát triển các chính sách lương thực dựa trên thông tin không gian trong một quốc gia, tập trung chủ yếu vào Bangladesh. Điều này sẽ đóng góp vào việc cải thiện an ninh lương thực bằng cách xem xét các điều kiện an ninh lương thực khu vực, các thiếu hụt đặc trưng theo khu vực, biến đổi khí hậu, và các rủi ro tương lai khác, và đưa ra các hành động liên quan đến các thành phần tương ứng. Nghiên cứu kết luận rằng các quy trình khác nhau có thể cung cấp cơ sở cho việc phát triển chính sách và điều này sẽ thúc đẩy sự liên kết giữa nghiên cứu và chính sách nhằm cải thiện an ninh lương thực.
