Representatives of four new yeast species,Candida hylophila, Candida dendronema, Candida silvanorum andCandida entomophila have been recovered from material of various Bostrichid, Cerambycid, Scolytid and Platypid beetle infestations in indigenous trees in the Transvaal, Natal and the Cape Province in South Africa. Descriptions of the new species are given and their relationship with previously described taxa is discussed.
