Tóm tắt

Twelve female endogenous-depressed patients, 9 unipolar and 3 bipolar, were treated in randomised order with a single injection of 600 Μg THR, 500 Μg LH-RH and placebo and rated for changes in depression scores over a 6-day period. No significant differences could be seen between the treatments although transient elevations in mood were subjectively observed. These results are discussed in relation to other reports on the therapeutic benefit of peptide hormones in psychiatry.
