Tóm tắt

Summary One of 16 antisera to pathologic macroglobulins detected serologic differences between them, thus permitting their division into at least two subclasses. Approximately one-third of 40 proteins reacted with this antiserum after it was absorbed with an antigenically deficient protein. The unique determinants were located on the heavy (µ)-chains. Though able to inhibit precipitation of reactive proteins, neither the heavy chains nor the 7 to 8 S monomers from reactive proteins were able to precipitate the absorbed antiserum.
