Low-temperature specific heat and electrical resistivity of nearly ferromagnetic actinide systems within a coupledd andf band model
Tóm tắt
In order to describe nearly ferromagnetic actinide systems we present here a spin-fluctuation model which considers two narrowd andf bands and which takes into account the two-bodyd–f coupling parameterJ

. The magnetic susceptibility, the γ-coefficient of the linearT term of the electronic specific heat, and theT

coefficient of the electrical resistivity are derived at low temperatures and a comparison with experiments is presented. This model improves the description of compounds such as UAl2 and USn3 with respect to previous single-f-band theories and yields an estimation of the enhancement factor of the low-temperature magnetic susceptibility in satisfactory agreement with experimental data.
