Development Tendencies for Lightweight Design of the Future
Tóm tắt
Audi started its development in automotive car bodies made out of 100 % aluminium back in the early 1980’s. The expected result of a car body structure made out of aluminium was an extreme saving in weight. The secondary effects are an increase in linear and non-linear vehicle dynamics and lower fuel consumption and emissions while presenting similar and even better results in body-stiffness, -rigidity and crash-performance.
