The JTSE is headquartered in Hanoi.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp style=\"text-align:justify;\">        The JTSE is published every 3 months (4 issues\u002Fyear), publishing research results and overview articles in 3 groups of fields: Tropical Ecology and Environment; Chemistry and Material Sciences; Biomedicine and Pharmacy. In 2022, the JTSE registered the international identifier Digital Object Identifier (DOI): 10.58334\u002Fvrtc.jtst and assigned DOI codes to all articles of the journal. The members of the Editorial Board of the JTSE are prestigious scientists and leading scientists from Vietnam and many countries in the world. The JTSE has been recognized by the Vietnam State Council for Professorship to score scientific articles in Chemistry, Medicine and Biology with scores ranging from 0-0.75 points.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp Những bài báo không đúng quy cách hoặc có nội dung không phù hợp hoặc vi phạm bản quyền sẽ bị từ chối (Ban Thư ký thông báo phản hồi đến tác giả trong vòng 1 tuần). Những bài báo đủ điều kiện, được Ban Thư ký tòa soạn chuyển đến Ban Biên tập có cùng chuyên môn với nội dung bài báo để đề xuất người phản biện. Các phản biện gởi nhận xét cho Ban Thư ký. Nếu ý kiến đồng ý đăng và cần chỉnh sửa, Ban Thư ký sẽ thông tin đến tác giả chỉnh sửa theo yêu cầu của người phản biện. Thời gian chỉnh sửa và gửi lại kéo dài không quá 2 tuần, từ khi tác giả bài báo nhận được thông tin (Quá trình này có thể lặp lại tối đa 2 lần\u002F1 bài báo). Ban Thư ký tổng hợp các bản thảo đã được tác giả hoàn thiện sau thẩm định trình Ban Biên tập xem xét, Tổng Biên tập phê duyệt, quyết định bài đăng theo các tiêu chí: sự phù hợp nội dung với tôn chỉ và mục đích, thể loại bài viết (ưu tiên các bài có bài có nghiên cứu chuyên sâu, hàm lượng khoa học cao), đóng góp mới bài báo, bài báo được ưu tiên đăng trong số gần nhất của Tạp chí theo thứ tự: tính thời sự, chất lượng bài báo và thời gian gửi bài.\u003C\u002Fspan>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cbr>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cspan style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">2. The study performs a detailed management from the first visit to the next appointments. After four months, the tooth was asymptomatic with neither discoloration nor draining sinus. Radiographs show the increasing of periapical radiolucency in the fracture area. Materials & Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out based on retrospective data and information collected from 154 inpatient medical records for community-acquired pneumonia at the Department of Pediatrics - Bach Mai Hospital, Hanoi, Vietnam in 2021. Clinical and laboratory information, information on antibiotic use in community-acquired pneumonia in pediatric patients, and information on the appropriateness of antibiotic use were collected and analyzed. Results: There were 12 antibiotic regimens initially selected to be used to treat community-acquired pneumonia at the hospital, of which four regimes used one antibiotic and eight regimes used combined antibiotics. The rate of combination regimen gradually increased with disease severity was 22.3%; 38.5% and 50% respectively for mild pneumonia, severe pneumonia and very severe pneumonia. The most commonly used antibiotic groups in the initial regimen are penicillin\u002Fβ-lactamase inhibitor (alone regimen) and penicillin\u002Fβ-lactamase inhibitor in combination with macrolides (combination regimen). The rate of initial treatment regimens that were not suitable according to the recommendations accounted for 99.4%. There were 83\u002F154 cases where patients were prescribed antibiotics inappropriately in terms of dose and rhythm or both. Conclusion: The use of antibiotics in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia in children at a tertiary hospital still has shortcomings. Sử dụng phương pháp giải trình tự ADN khuếch đại từ gen COX-1 ty thể ở 25 mẫu mô UTĐTT, chúng tôi đã phát hiện được 4\u002F17 biến đổi làm thay đổi axit amin, trong đó có biến đổi C6340T. Tiếp đó, biến đổi C6340T được phân tích bằng phương pháp PCR-RFLP trên các mẫu nghiên cứu còn lại. Kết hợp hai phương pháp giải trình tự và PCR-RFLP đã xác định được biến đổi C6340T ở cả dạng đồng tế bào chất và dị tế bào chất trên mô u và lân cận u, trong khi đó không xác định được biến đổi này trên mẫu máu của bệnh nhân ung thư và máu đối chứng. Mức độ biến đổi C6340T ở mô u của 2 bệnh nhân UTĐTT được xác định với tỷ lệ khá cao (từ khoảng 80% trở lên). adjustment for inpatients with renal impairment at Thai Binh University Hospital. Subjects and methods: Medical records of inpatients treated at Thai Binh University Hospital were reviewed during the periods from 01\u002F01\u002F2022 to 30\u002F11\u002F2022 and from 01\u002F12\u002F2022 to 15\u002F03\u002F2023. Study design: a cross-sectional descriptive study. Results: Before the integration of CDSS, among 300 medical records, dose adjustment was required in 81.7% of medical records, which included 64.5% inappropriate dosage modification. There were 406 prescriptions requiring dose adjustment, accounting for 31.5% of the total prescriptions, and 52.7% of the total prescriptions had inappropriate dose adjustment. After the integration of CDSS, 320 alerts were recorded for 55 patients between December 1st, 2022, and March 15th, 2023. The alert cancellation proportion was 2.8%. Among the alerts that were overridden, 55.6% involved clinical pharmacist consultations. The combination of CDSS and clinical pharmacist consultations reduced the proportion of prescriptions and medical records having inappropriate dosage adjustments to 10.6% and 16.4%, respectively. Conclusion: CDSS had positive impacts on dosage adjustments in inpatients with renal insufficiency at Thai Binh Medical University and need of mental care for patients and their relatives in the hospital are basic to determine demand for training and using staffs for psychological care. The obtained results found that 32.5% of patients in the hospital had psychological difficulties; percentage of patients who need to share with the medical staff was 42.0%; there had 41.0% of patients in need of comprehensive care; 51.5% of patients relatives needed medical staffs to care for the patients; the rate of medical staffs interested in psychological care for patients was 62.7% but their main skills were of interpretation and encouragement. The intermediate 4-allyl-2-methoxyphenyl acetate (EA) and the vicinal diol derivative 4-(2,3-dihydroxypropyl)-2-methoxyphenyl acetate (DIO) were synthesized with 97% and 43% yields, respectively. The byproduct of the EA oxidation reaction was identified as 4-acetoxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde (ALD). Synthetic substances were investigated for biological activities, including antioxidant, antibacterial, and α-glucosidase inhibition. The antioxidant activity of EA, ALD, and DIO was modest, with %RSA50 values exceeding 6666.67 µg\u002Fml, 1174.53 µg\u002Fml, and 59.47 µg\u002Fml, respectively. Regarding antibacterial activity, EA exhibited antibacterial activity against MSSA (MIC = 256 µg\u002Fml), and DIO could be active against Streptococcus pyogenes (MIC = 1024 µg\u002Fml). While EA and DIO inhibited α-glucosidase with limited activity (at a screening concentration of 0.5 mg\u002Fml, inhibition levels were 12.19 ± 6.83% and 43.98 ± 2.34%, respectively), ALD showed potential (with an IC50 of 0.27 mg\u002Fml). cochinchinensis (S.  cochinchinensis) leaves have been used by Vietnamese in herbal medicines to support the treatment of infirmities. The purpose of this study was to determine some phytochemicals, assess in vitro anti-inflammatory and antioxidant capacities of  S. cochinchinensis leaf extract to provide information for further research. The study results show that S. cochinchinensis leaves contain polyphenols, flavonoids, and saponins by chemical reactions and thin layer chromatography profiling. The total polyphenol, flavonoid, and saponin contents were 517.71 ± 19.50 mg GAE\u002Fg d. w., 1.12 ± 0.01 mg QE\u002Fg d. w., and 32.18 ± 0.24 mg\u002Fg d. w., respectively. S. cochinchinensis leaf extract exhibited anti-inflammatory effect via in vitro protein denaturation inhibition, hemolysis inhibition by heat and hypotonicity with IC50 values of 63.20, 36.32, and 42.55 μg\u002FmL, respectively. S. cochinchinensis leaf extract also displayed antioxidant potential with IC50 values of 189.09 μg\u002FmL (DPPH inhibition), 60.67 μg\u002FmL (ABTS inhibition), and 140.53 μg\u002FmL (Reducing power). Gallbladder contractility index ≥ 40% accounted for 95.7%. The results indicated that the clinical characteristics of AOM included mild fever (37.5%), moderate fever (20%), high fever (22.5%), unilateral otalgia (57.5%), bilateral otalgia (7.5%), no ear discharge (77.5%), and ear discharge (22.5%).
