In these patients, clinicopathologic variables were analyzed using propensity score matching for age, sex, body mass index, American Society of Anesthesiologists physical state, clinical stage, and lymph node dissection. Operative outcomes and postoperative nutritional status were compared between the 2 groups.\u003C\u002Fjats:p>\n          \u003C\u002Fjats:sec>\n          \u003Cjats:sec>\n            \u003Cjats:title>Results:\u003C\u002Fjats:title>\n            \u003Cjats:p>A total of 16 patients were matched to analyze the LPG-DTR and LTG-RY groups. Surgical, nutritional, and long-term outcomes were collected and analyzed.\u003C\u002Fjats:p>\n          \u003C\u002Fjats:sec>\n          \u003Cjats:sec>\n            \u003Cjats:title>Results:\u003C\u002Fjats:title>\n            \u003Cjats:p>A total of 595 patients from 8 studies were included. Operative time, time to first flatus, length of hospital stays, complications, postoperative nutritional variables, and functional result were similar between 2 groups. Group DT had significantly less blood loss, shorter time to oral intake and less loss of body weight at 2 years after operation.\u003C\u002Fjats:p>\n          \u003C\u002Fjats:sec>\n Randomized controlled trials assessing the effect of midazolam versus propofol on sedation in gastrointestinal endoscopy are included. Two investigators have independently searched for articles, extracted data, and assessed the quality of included studies. This meta-analysis was performed using the random-effect model.\u003C\u002Fjats:p>\n          \u003C\u002Fjats:sec>\n          \u003Cjats:sec>\n            \u003Cjats:title>Results:\u003C\u002Fjats:title>\n            \u003Cjats:p>Five randomized controlled trials involving 552 patients were included in the meta-analysis. Overall, compared with midazolam sedation during gastrointestinal endoscopy, propofol sedation results in higher endoscopist satisfaction scores during gastrointestinal endoscopy than midazolam [standard mean difference (Std. MD)=−0.71; 95% confidence interval (CI)=−1.05 to −0.37; \u003Cjats:italic toggle=\"yes\">P\u003C\u002Fjats:italic>&lt;0.0001), but the comparison shows no remarkable influence on patient satisfaction scores between midazolam and propofol (Std. MD=−0.34; 95% CI=−0.88 to 0.20; \u003Cjats:italic toggle=\"yes\">P\u003C\u002Fjats:italic>=0.21), procedure time (Std.
