Both qualitative and quantitative research approaches were utilized, employing self-administered questionnaires and in-depth interviews to test the research hypotheses. The findings indicate that institutional design factors significantly affect gender equality, while traditional stereotypes also have a significant impact. However, the "Glass Ceiling Syndrome" was found to have no significant effect. Moreover, the study reveals that women's age plays a positive moderating role in the relationship between institutional design, glass ceiling syndromes, traditional stereotypes, and gender equality. The originality and value of this study lie in its examination of age as a moderator in the relationship between dependent and independent variables, specifically institutional design, glass ceiling syndromes, traditional stereotypes, and gender equality. The inclusion of age as a moderating factor led to interesting findings, demonstrating its positive influence in shaping gender equality outcomes in public organizations.
Factors affecting gender equality in public organizations in Egypt
10.1186/s43093-023-00269-2","https://fbj.springeropen.com/articles/10.1186/s43093-023-00269-2",[226,241,253
"aed053dc-e3ca-4130-8893-c613efdc0f7d",[108],[230
"488401a0-b2e6-4370-8e8e-e88eed01be20","2023-12-12T09:31:02.522+00:00",[
October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, Giza, Egypt
Mohamed Samy El-Deeb
"03f5f6ad-f627-407f-b7d6-fa76d570b624",[108],[245
[
"Yasser Tawfik Halim
"2dc6cb12-8048-43af-b18e-bdbc0d254972",[108],[257
[
"Zeinab Abbas Zaazou
[
[],[],[274
[
[55,56],[59
i10Index":66,"i10IndexLast5Year":67
"hindexLast5Year":82
2020":62,"2021":63,"2022":64,"2023":65},{"2019":70,"2020":67,"2021":71},{"2019":74,"2020":75,"2021":76},{"2019":79,"2020":80,"2021":81
"9
1-20","2023-12-02",2023
"d3e9f296-401e-4bbd-b19d-bbf2b0e36510","2023-12-05T15:42:40.580+00:00","2025-02-20T23:41:24.907+00:00",[],"Drivers-of-business-model-innovation-in-micro-and-small-enterprises-evidence-from-Egypt-as-an-emerging-economy
"Adel HM, Mahrous AA, Hammad R (2020) Entrepreneurial marketing strategy, institutional environment, and business performance of SMEs in Egypt. Business model innovation drivers in micro and small enterprises may differ from those in large firms in developed economies. In micro and small businesses, BMI is determined by the dynamic capabilities of the business, as well as the ability of the business owner to reconfigure and exploit its resources in a way that creates market value. This is one of few studies that connects the concepts of social capital and market orientation to explain business model innovation and its consequences in a turbulent business environment. This study investigates the impact of managerial ties, business owner market orientation and perceived environmental uncertainty as drivers to BMI. Also, it investigates the effect of BMI on business performance. The results of analyzing the responses of 426 micro and small enterprises by Smart PLS 3.3 show that business model innovation mediates the relationship between business ties and business performance. Surprisingly, the results proved that micro and small business owners adopting reactive market orientation, contribute to BMI more than those adopting proactive market orientation. The findings emphasize the importance of micro and small business owner in driving BMI. This study ensures that BMI is a function of how resources can be deployed and configured dynamically to generate value.
Drivers of business model innovation in micro and small enterprises: evidence from Egypt as an emerging economy
10.1186/s43093-022-00180-2","https://fbj.springeropen.com/articles/10.1186/s43093-022-00180-2",[310,325
"02993300-3a54-40d1-a19f-27a9c6d7a8ba",[108],[314
"68927ac7-0338-41b0-ba32-2b85b4404552","2024-01-20T14:45:44.123+00:00",[
Faculty of Commerce, Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt
Rasha A. The study employed a two-step system generalized method of moments (GMM) estimation technique to test the hypothesised relationships among the variables. The results indicate that a positive and significant relationship exists between board tenure and environmental and economic SP. Board size and frequency of board meetings are positively linked with environmental and social SP. Additionally, the number of board sub-committees is positively correlated with social and economic SP. However, the board of directors’ educational background is negatively associated with both social and economic SP. Diversely, board independence, educational background, and frequency of board meetings displayed a positive connection with the combined SP. These results suggest that board mechanisms have a significant influence on sustainability performance. Our findings offer useful insights for companies, regulatory bodies, and varied stakeholder groups in SSA countries to promote the connection between board mechanisms and SP beyond the present frontiers because it suggests thinking around specific board mechanisms that meet the demand for greater accountability for sustainability performance.
Influence of board mechanisms on research study aims to examine the impact of sustainability on firm performance and analyze how vertical integration moderates the connection between performance and sustainability in the oil and gas sector. We analyzed a sample dataset of oil and gas companies from the top ten oil-producing countries spanned over ten years (2011–2020). The pool-fixed regression technique confirms that sustainability and its three components, i.e., social, environmental, and governance, are negatively related to performance. However, vertical integration moderated the connection between sustainability and performance in the case of the oil and gas sector. We have identified firm size, age, and return share price positively related to firm performance in the oil and gas industry. At the same time, the debt ratio negatively impacts the firm’s performance. The findings are significant for the management of oil and gas firms and the policymakers and regulatory authorities of oil-producing and exporting countries.
Moderating effect of vertical integration on the relationship between sustainability and performance: evidence from oil and gas energy In line with that importance, the call for more effort to enhance knowledge on strategic management accounting has increased over the years. Responding to that call, this study utilised a qualitative approach that involved a systematic review to synthesise existing literature towards understanding the strategic management accounting foundation, contingency factors, and organisational performance impact. Based on the evidence in reviewed literature, we flag key directions for advancing this theoretical premise towards providing further insights that would enable practitioners strategically align their strategic management accounting practices for optimal organisational performance. The limitations of this study have been acknowledged.

Strategic management accounting and performance implications: a literature review and research The study uses a bibliometric analysis, in this work, we performed citation, bibliographic coupling, and keyword evolution analyses. The results show that research in microfinance for SMEs and microfinance institutions continue to grow. The authors found that recent research in microfinance for SMEs and microfinance institutions has evolved around eight thematic clusters, covering (1) access to and constraints on microcredit for SMEs (2) microfinance and economic empowerment, (3) sustainability of MFIs, (4) creditworthiness, microfinance technology infrastructure and financing patterns, (5) Islamic financial inclusion, (6) credit assessment models for microcredit, (7) microfinance and innovative business models, and (8) gender and equity crowdfunding. Research gaps in each of the thematic clusters are identified. Topics related to COVID-19, Islamic social finance, microfinance institutions, credit scoring models, crowdfunding, and entrepreneurial finance are likely to feature in the domain of microfinance and sustainability of MFIs in future.
Frontiers in microfinance research for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and microfinance institutions (MFIs): a bibliometric analysis
10.1186/s43093-023-00195-3","https://fbj.springeropen.com/articles/10.1186/s43093-023-00195-3",[1076,1092
"0c242023-73ac-4d8e-b68c-03de690dc71f",[108],[1080
"b1c01be8-bdf0-4f36-944b-5e0c817e58e5","2024-04-13T11:24:18.858+00:00",[],"Department-of-Business-Administration-and-Management-The-University-of-Dodoma-Dodoma-Tanzania
Department of Business Administration and Management, The University of Dodoma, Dodoma, Tanzania
Francis Lwesya
"3c135b5d-085f-45d7-87a4-6e9324383f6e",[108],[1096
"b9205125-5330-4410-b849-ddabfa8da5b7","2024-01-13T23:22:54.534+00:00",[
Department of Economics and Statistics, The University of Dodoma, Dodoma, Tanzania
Adam Beni Swebe Mwakalobo
[
[],[],[1116
[
[55,56],[59
i10Index":66,"i10IndexLast5Year":67
"hindexLast5Year":82
2020":62,"2021":63,"2022":64,"2023":65},{"2019":70,"2020":67,"2021":71},{"2019":74,"2020":75,"2021":76},{"2019":79,"2020":80,"2021":81
"1-18","2023-04-20
"c551a1e9-304c-4cfb-9b84-56eea12d684f","2024-01-17T00:22:53.468+00:00","2025-01-14T23:08:20.226+00:00",[],"The-status-quo-of-research-in-sustainable-FDI-exploring-the-theoretical-agenda-and-policy-inferences-in-West-and-Central-Africa
"Acemoglu D, Johnson S, Robinson J (2002) Reversal of fortune: geography and institutions in the making of the modern world income distribution. It is believed that utilizing the FDI Qualities Policy Toolkit developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development "OECD" will help identify which policies are acknowledged today and the ones that may need particular attention from academia and policymakers.
The paper utilizes a literature triangulation of FDI, sustainability, and economic development theories to extract the seed of a narrative helping to capture the current theoretical agenda and policy implications around the phenomenon of sustainable FDI in West and Central Africa. We selected and scrutinized (N = 53) articles published in various academic journals between January 2019 and March 2022 and investigating issues around sustainable FDI. The OECD framework later assisted in mapping today's theoretical agenda and policy inferences related to sustainable FDI in the region. It is acknowledged that there is an ongoing theoretical discussion informing on policy implications around the subject of sustainable FDI in West and Central Africa. It seems to be a consensus about the role of FDI's quality in enhancing sustainable regional growth. However, the use of the taxonomy has shown a clear focus on macroeconomic and ecological determinants reinforced through the OECD-defined policy dimensions of technical and financial support and international agreements and standards. The review allowed the perception of a theoretical gap in sustainability outcomes around the subjects of social justice in general and gender diversity in particular. It is recommended that academia and policymakers emphasize FDI theories and policies around the OECD framework of governance and domestic regulations. Using daily data from 2007 to 2020, we employ three relevant time-varying and timescale-dependent techniques, the continuous wavelet transform (CWT) analysis, the wavelet multiple correlation (WMC), and the wavelet multiple cross-correlation (WMCC). The findings suggest that conventional and Islamic US investors who invest with major trading partners may reap large diversification benefits for very short investment horizons (4–8), except for Sharia Malaysia index. However, they may not reap benefits for investment horizons of 8–16 and longer, except for China. In addition, COVID-19 crisis caused a poor diversification opportunity for US investors regardless of the regime they follow (conventional or Islamic). Moreover, the American industrial market depicts a state of impending perfect market integration. Finally, the UK and Canada seem to be the potential market leaders in different wavelet scales. These findings yield important policy implications.
Portfolio diversification benefits before and during the times of COVID-19: evidence from USA
10.1186/s43093-023-00205-4","https://fbj.springeropen.com/articles/10.1186/s43093-023-00205-4",[1220,1235,1250,1265
"4b153eff-dc17-4f31-8a4d-8cb524e61e9d",[108],[1224
"0d93885e-c3ef-4e29-9e84-97c347b77a62","2024-01-18T17:13:46.588+00:00",[
Finance Department, College of Management and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime, Giza, Egypt
Ahmed said ElRawas
"b1bc5c3a-5d6d-4517-bfa6-069b53a98a97",[108],[1239
"a0666184-ef64-4549-ac19-506848eaf897","2024-01-18T17:13:46.573+00:00",[
Department of Accounting, College of Management and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Giza, Egypt
Sharihan Mohamed Aly
"4a58a83e-5644-41dc-a2ba-2ad35722de7c",[108],[1254
"6815d6d5-10ce-4652-a45a-8597a5610cd0","2024-01-18T17:13:46.601+00:00",[
Accounting Department, Sadat Academy for Management Sciences, Cairo, Egypt
Ebtehal Orabi Awad
"c3b42866-054e-4786-8430-5e3c1fd3e1fe",[108],[1269,1274
[
"31f34af8-d21e-4c98-a501-857f6ccf66b7
"e51aec14-27c9-458b-8a93-081dc5ba6e85","2024-01-18T17:13:46.562+00:00",[
Finance Department, College of Management and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Giza, Egypt",{
Eman F.
