Thời gian chỉnh sửa và gửi lại kéo dài không quá 2 tuần, từ khi tác giả bài báo nhận được thông tin (Quá trình này có thể lặp lại tối đa 2 lần\u002F1 bài báo). The specimens were obtained from two residual soil profiles of the Serra do Mar, SP, Brazil. The results obtained allowed the evaluation of the pore size distribution along the soil profile and its relation to the water retention characteristics of the soil profile. The SWRC obtained using traditional methods, such as suction plate, pressure plate and filter paper method, is compared with the soil water retention curve inferred from the MIP. The results indicated that the amount of meso and macropores tends to increase with depth, while the amount of micropores tends to decrease. this paper, the interaction effect of a group of two and four symmetrical as well as asymmetrical helical anchors resting in homogeneous cohesive soil deposit with different helix configurations is determined using finite element analysis. The anchors were pulled to its ultimate failure controlling the displacement. Eight different types of anchor configuration were considered in the analysis, where mainly the number of helical plates, the depth of upper- and lower-most helical plates and the ratio of spacing between the helical plates to the diameter of the plate were varied. The variation of load–displacement curve for each anchor in the group was obtained and subsequently, the ultimate uplift capacity of each anchor was determined. The soil was assumed to follow Mohr–Coulomb failure criteria. paper presents an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) for the evaluation of ground vibration due to blasting. The training of ANFIS was performed by a hybrid method of gradient descent method and least square algorithm. The least square algorithm is used to optimize the consequent parameters with the premise parameters fixed. Seven factors including the hole depth, burden, spacing, stemming, maximum charge per delay, charge and distance, were taken into account as the input parameters of the ANFIS model, whereas the peak particle velocity is the output parameter. Instead of shortages predicted by proponents of peak oil formulations, natural gas is now plentiful. Far more plentiful than the oil and gas trapped in classical reservoirs, and even tight gas and coal seam methane, are the vast deposits of deep gas which must exist given vast geophysical evidence. Methane as “fossil fuel” is a misnomer as methane is abundant in the cosmos and at great depths in the earth. To date conventional methods are unable to access this depth. This paper details the need to develop new super deep boring technologies, not just to access deep gas, but to garner geothermal power under every location on Earth. The design and method of rock melting device is presented but independent computations and calculations show that such devices modeled on the subterrene originally developed in Los Alamos Government Labs, although later patented, cannot work. As there is no significant benefit to boring through rock melt or solid rock at great pressure, a self-propelled shaped charge penetrator previously offered as a self-propelled bunker bomb is offered as a viable method to reach depths to access deep gas. The existence of incipient joints in rock masses might account for the failure of anchor bolts. The strength of the anchored rock mass varied with the geometric property of the joints and might be less than the target value. A series of numerical modeling experiments have been carried out in the present study by utilizing the FLAC3D software package. A novel method has been proposed to establish and validate numerical models such that they can simulate and extend physical experimental results. Accordingly, we demonstrated that the application of anchor bolts increases the strength of the jointed rock blocks but significantly depends on the orientation of incipient joints. The anchor bolt reduces the nonuniformity of the stress distribution, and the uniformity increases gradually with increasing bolt density. Moreover, the application of anchor bolts would keep the rock blocks as intact to contain the tendentious failure along the incipient joint planes. paper reviews the modes of formation of sinkhole subsidence associated with mining activities, drawing on examples in India. Sinkhole (pot-hole) subsidence is an abrupt local depression at the surface which can be hazardous to life and property due to its tendency to occur without warning. Shallow extraction, weak overburden and geological discontinuities are the main factors which cause them. Sinkholes occur due to the failure of a mine roof which migrates through the overlying strata until the failure zone intercepts the unconsolidated overburden. Alternatively they may occur by the creation of cavities in the overburden following the inflow of sand and soil from the overlying weathered and friable strata through faults. Overburden cavities eventually cave in and sinkholes appear at the surface. Sinkholing phenomena can be controlled to some extent by proper design of mining supports and construction of walls to create a barrier around an area prone to sinkholes in bord and pillar workings. To explain the damage many authors have suggested that unusual source or transmission path characteristics contributed to enhanced ground motion in Mexico City. The purpose of this paper is to present a summary of results obtained from data recorded during the earthquake related to possible anomalous transmission path characteristics. It is concluded that in every respect this earthquake conformed to the norms set by previous subduction zone earthquakes within the Middle American trench.
