We should do well in economic feasibility analysis of large scale project investment in hospitals. Chinese Health Economics, 4, 56–57.
The theory and practice of feasibility study of industrial projects originates from the development of the Tennessee River basin in the USA in the 1930s. It is a scientific analysis method that conducts investigation and study of new industrial project’s technology advantage, economical rational as well as the implementation feasibility in order to achieve maximum returns of the investment. The traditional Chinese medicine project has the characteristics of large investment, long cycle and high cost of capital. Due to the irreversibility of construction investment, once the project is implemented, most investments will become sunk cost. This paper takes the project “eaves outside bamboo and Chinese medicine in garden” as an example, focusing on the feasibility analysis of entrepreneurship projects in the business plan from the perspective of financial management. The project is a 5-year traditional Chinese medicine electronic commerce project, focusing on providing healthcare services and disseminating Chinese medical culture. The economic evaluation of investment projects is mainly based on dynamic indexes, while static indexes only play a supporting role. The net present value indexes coincide with the goal of pursuit maximizing enterprise value. The internal rate of return is the rate of return that an investment is expected to achieve. Investors are more willing to adopt the net present value as the evaluation index of decision making. Study found feasibility analysis can improve the scientific and democratic decision making of investment projects on the one hand, and reduce the waste and loss caused by decision-making errors on the other hand. For independent project, the final conclusions were consistent through NPV, IRR, payback period and the investment effect coefficient.
Feasibility analysis of entrepreneurship from the Anchored in Mars and Torres’s entrepreneurial leadership proclivity instrument (ELPI) and informed by Ajzen’s theory of planned behavior and Bourdieu’s theory of human agency and practice, the study examines the influence of an entrepreneurial leadership course on 275 non-business undergraduates. The guiding hypothesis posits that IELL enhances the entrepreneurial mindsets of students, irrespective of their academic discipline or career goals. The entrepreneurial leadership course for 3rd- and 4th-year undergraduates focused on fostering innovation and strategy across diverse fields. Using the ELPI, the study measured students’ innovation and entrepreneurial strategy skills to sort them into four distinct leadership types: manager, strategist, innovator, and entrepreneurial leader. The results reveal a positive association between IELL and student entrepreneurial mindset development. The discussion section further explores these results and offers recommendations for educational practice and future research.
The influence of interdisciplinary entrepreneurial leadership learning on entrepreneurial mindset development
10.1007/s41959-024-00112-x","https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s41959-024-00112-x",[1095,1112,1124
"3cb469ce-6414-4b65-92d7-faddd1852973",[91],[1099
"075b2b86-1c74-470b-b6f5-fe69bde2e1a9","2023-12-24T17:52:30.532+00:00","2025-06-11T20:23:55.770+00:00",[],"The-University-of-Arizona-Tucson-USA
The University of Arizona, Tucson, USA
Amanda Bogden
"dfd1815c-048e-4708-a44d-eb8232458c30",[91],[1116
[
"Matthew M. It is not uncommon for educators to be pushed toward teaching entrepreneurship, despite having limited or no personal experience of entrepreneurship. This is commonly the case in Oman, which has introduced mandatory entrepreneurship classes for all higher education students as a part of the Oman 2040 vision, which seeks to increase the level of entrepreneurship within the country. Arising from this, there is the potential for a disconnect between educators’ discourse and conceptualization of entrepreneurship in their teaching practice and the actual practice of entrepreneurship. This research explores how Omani educators conceptualize entrepreneurship in their delivery of entrepreneurship education, through 80 hours of ethnographic observation of two mandatory online entrepreneurship education classes in Oman, delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings highlight that the educators conceptualized entrepreneurship as the process of business creation, a central pillar of economic growth, a linear process, and as a career. These conceptualizations underpin a classical and narrow view of entrepreneurship. Identifying educators’ conceptualization and understanding of entrepreneurship within their teaching practice can highlight potential misalignment between entrepreneurship as it is taught, and how it is practiced.
Educators' conceptualization of entrepreneurship in Omani entrepreneurship education practice
10.1007/s41959-023-00102-5","https://link.springer.com/10.1007/s41959-023-00102-5",[1487,1503,1515
"0be7c8ce-36c8-4d21-94c6-48da65713134",[91],[1491
"dfd3bce3-db4e-4d8b-bcd7-9c00d9c008a6","2024-04-09T16:26:08.417+00:00",[],"Worcester-Business-School-University-of-Worcester-Worcester-UK
Worcester Business School, University of Worcester, Worcester, UK
Robin Bell
"96b56b45-6941-4456-a224-d90d4ebcb106",[91],[1507
[
"Laila Kasem
"0d7296a2-f845-490c-9ae5-2b452579d7b4",[91],[1519
[
"Buthaina Al Kharusi
[
[],[],[1537
[
[38
i10Index":48,"i10IndexLast5Year":48
"hindexLast5Year":54
2020":44,"2021":45,"2022":46,"2023":47},{"2018":51,"2019":48,"2020":52,"2021":53,"2022":54,"2023":55,"2024":51},{"2018":48,"2019":58,"2020":59,"2021":60,"2022":61,"2023":62},{"2018":48,"2019":53,"2020":65,"2021":62,"2022":66,"2023":67
1-26","2023-10-04
"1f11bf7c-8467-472a-9dd1-2c906047e0d5","2024-01-01T11:47:52.900+00:00","2025-01-18T22:33:58.681+00:00",[],"From-entrepreneurial-desirability-to-entrepreneurial-self-efficacy-the-need-for-entrepreneurship-education-a-survey-of-university-students-in-eight-countries
"Abou-Moghli, A.A. & Al-Abdallah, G.M. It is argued that entrepreneurial desirability precedes entrepreneurial self-efficacy and measuring it and the relevant factors that may influence it would be valuable, if not a necessity, prior to planning entrepreneurial education in a specific context. The paper used the survey method. Over six thousand students from eight country-branches of a regional university responded. The paper seeks first to assess whether entrepreneurship as an activity is desirable and then find out whether the students support the idea of introducing entrepreneurship education and how they want it to be organised. The level of entrepreneurial desirability and of the call for introducing entrepreneurial education was very high in all countries and all colleges and among both genders. Some factors that may affect entrepreneurial desirability, and which may influence how entrepreneurial education is to be planned, have been identified and tested statistically. These factors are internal; associated with the individual, e.g., educational status and work experience, and external; pertinent to the wider societal context, e.g., gender and employment situation in the country. Entrepreneurial education in universities where the students had no prior exposure to it, it is suggested, is to focus mainly on developing entrepreneurial self-efficacy.
From entrepreneurial desirability to entrepreneurial self-efficacy: the need for entrepreneurship education—a survey of university students in eight countries
10.1007/s41959-021-00046-8","https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s41959-021-00046-8",[1569
"267f46c9-0db6-42f0-8f23-0c559088428d",[91],[1573
"91cd1296-7faa-4cfd-9ed0-720e8b59c1ec","2024-01-01T11:47:52.922+00:00",[
Arab Open University, Kuwait City, Kuwait
Abbas Abdelkarim
[
[],[],[1594
[
[38
i10Index":48,"i10IndexLast5Year":48
"hindexLast5Year":54
2020":44,"2021":45,"2022":46,"2023":47},{"2018":51,"2019":48,"2020":52,"2021":53,"2022":54,"2023":55,"2024":51},{"2018":48,"2019":58,"2020":59,"2021":60,"2022":61,"2023":62},{"2018":48,"2019":53,"2020":65,"2021":62,"2022":66,"2023":67
"4
67-88","2021-03-15",2021
"e62b3990-a691-4b80-85d7-8cf01bbfb3e0","2024-01-29T01:31:39.339+00:00","2024-12-09T21:54:16.726+00:00",[],"Management-models-and-their-suitability-in-mobilising-entrepreneurs-towards-implementation-of-education-policy-on-development-of-school-infrastructure-facilities
"Ashraf, G., & Kadir, S. Entrepreneurship education is deemed significant in imparting life skills, creativity and innovation to entrepreneurs in management of resources. The presence of entrepreneurs in societies is an asset particularly as they engage in supporting the provision of services and amenities in schools and assist in collection of construction resources. Some entrepreneurs in communities have been lagging behind and unwilling to engage in development activities in schools due to poor management styles undertaken by school managers during community mobilisation. Given the importance of management in realising desired goals, the study investigated the management models applied by school managers and their suitability in mobilising entrepreneurs towards implementation of education policy on infrastructure facilities’ development in public secondary schools in Mara Region, Tanzania. The study employed a mixed method’s research approach to collect and analyse the findings. The sample size consisted of 254 participants who were selected using simple random and purposive sampling techniques from 35 public secondary schools. The data were collected by using questionnaires, face-to-face interviews, documentary review and non-participant observation. The findings indicate that the Scientific and Bureaucratic Management (SBM), Post-Bureaucratic Management (PBM), New Public Management (NPM) and Post-New Public Management (PNPM) models were applied by school managers in mobilising entrepreneurs towards construction of classrooms, laboratories and washrooms in public secondary schools. Due to the heterogeneity in definitions and competence frameworks in the field of entrepreneurship education, literature and practice still illustrate much confusion about what should be taught in academic entrepreneurship courses and which competences need to be developed. An in-depth review of entrepreneurial competences dates back to the year 2008 by Mitchtelmore and Rowley. The purpose of this paper is to review newer contributions and propose a synthesis of state-of-the-art by developing an updated entrepreneurial competence framework.
