The JTSE is headquartered in Hanoi.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp style=\"text-align:justify;\">        The JTSE is published every 3 months (4 issues\u002Fyear), publishing research results and overview articles in 3 groups of fields: Tropical Ecology and Environment; Chemistry and Material Sciences; Biomedicine and Pharmacy. In 2022, the JTSE registered the international identifier Digital Object Identifier (DOI): 10.58334\u002Fvrtc.jtst and assigned DOI codes to all articles of the journal. The members of the Editorial Board of the JTSE are prestigious scientists and leading scientists from Vietnam and many countries in the world. The JTSE has been recognized by the Vietnam State Council for Professorship to score scientific articles in Chemistry, Medicine and Biology with scores ranging from 0-0.75 points.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp Những bài báo không đúng quy cách hoặc có nội dung không phù hợp hoặc vi phạm bản quyền sẽ bị từ chối (Ban Thư ký thông báo phản hồi đến tác giả trong vòng 1 tuần). Những bài báo đủ điều kiện, được Ban Thư ký tòa soạn chuyển đến Ban Biên tập có cùng chuyên môn với nội dung bài báo để đề xuất người phản biện. Các phản biện gởi nhận xét cho Ban Thư ký. Nếu ý kiến đồng ý đăng và cần chỉnh sửa, Ban Thư ký sẽ thông tin đến tác giả chỉnh sửa theo yêu cầu của người phản biện. Thời gian chỉnh sửa và gửi lại kéo dài không quá 2 tuần, từ khi tác giả bài báo nhận được thông tin (Quá trình này có thể lặp lại tối đa 2 lần\u002F1 bài báo). Ban Thư ký tổng hợp các bản thảo đã được tác giả hoàn thiện sau thẩm định trình Ban Biên tập xem xét, Tổng Biên tập phê duyệt, quyết định bài đăng theo các tiêu chí: sự phù hợp nội dung với tôn chỉ và mục đích, thể loại bài viết (ưu tiên các bài có bài có nghiên cứu chuyên sâu, hàm lượng khoa học cao), đóng góp mới bài báo, bài báo được ưu tiên đăng trong số gần nhất của Tạp chí theo thứ tự: tính thời sự, chất lượng bài báo và thời gian gửi bài.\u003C\u002Fspan>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cbr>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cspan style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">2. Also described is the concurrent growth of the evidence‐based pain management movement worldwide in the decade since initial US federal guidelines on acute and cancer pain were developed, and products of this global movement. The latter include systematic reviews and meta‐analyses about treatments for pain, their assemblage in resources such as the Cochrane Collaboration, and (in the US) the embedding of pain assessment and management within quality assurance requirements for hospital accreditation. This survey will highlight recent research that evidence‐based guidelines alone are insufficient to overcome established attitudes, practices and myths that hinder pain assessment and management. Subjects were asked to keep a 3‐week diary on their pain and to fill out questionnaires about background factors, pain and pain‐related consequences. At baseline, 254 subjects reported chronic benign pain; of these, 124 (48%) and 77 (30%) subjects still experienced chronic benign pain at one‐year and two‐year follow‐up, respectively. Except for the estimated pain intensity, which decreased marginally, pain remained stable over the follow‐up period. Minor changes occurred in the consequences of pain; the main changes were a decrease of the impact of pain on the child's behavior, social functioning and use of health care. Immunoreactive nerve fibers were found in the soft tissue of the fossa acetabuli as well as in the subintimal part of the synovial layer in the hip joint capsule of groups 1 and 2. In the capsule of controls the innervation density had a median of 5.7 fibers\u002Fcm\u003Cjats:sup>2\u003C\u002Fjats:sup> for CGRP‐ir and 3.2 fibers\u002Fcm\u003Cjats:sup>2\u003C\u002Fjats:sup> for SP‐ir afferents. To screen for the presence of latent and active myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) in patients with unilateral shoulder and arm pain and perform topographical mapping of mechanical pain sensitivity in the study. Pressure pain threshold (PPT) was measured in each sub‐area bilaterally in the infraspinatus muscles. Findings suggest that the presence of chronic pain does not allow individuals to achieve the most valued standards of being male or female in our societies. Such contention, however, has not yet been empirically supported. Therefore, our goal was to explore laypeople's and nurses’ perceptions of the man\u002Fwoman with chronic low‐back pain (CLBP) as compared to the typical man\u002Fwoman, respectively. Three hundred and sixteen laypeople (52.8% women) and 161 nurses (54% women) participated in this study. Half of the participants were presented with a written vignette depicting a man\u002Fwoman with CLBP, followed by a list of 33 traits of the masculine and feminine stereotypes. Participants evaluated the extent to which each trait fit their image of the man\u002Fwoman with CLBP. The other half of the participants described the image people in general had of the typical man\u002Fwoman using the same list of traits. This study consisted on a quasi‐experimental design, 2 (character's sex) × 2 (type of character) × 2 (participant's sex) × 2 (health‐care training). Results have generally supported our hypotheses. Both laypeople and nurses perceived: (1) the man with CLBP as having less masculinity and more femininity‐related traits than the typical man; (2) the woman with CLBP as having less femininity and more masculinity‐related traits than the typical woman; and (3) the man and woman with CLBP as more similar to each other than the typical man\u002Fwoman. used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to analyze changes in brain activity associated with stimulation of the cutaneous trigger zone in patients with classic trigeminal neuralgia (CTN).\u003C\u002Fjats:p>\u003Cjats:p>Fifteen consecutive patients with CTN in the second or third division of the nerve, were included in this study. The fMRI paradigm consisted of light tactile stimuli of the trigger zone and the homologous contralateral area.\u003C\u002Fjats:p>\u003Cjats:p>Stimulation of the affected side induced pain in seven patients, but was not painful in eight patients on the day of the experiment. Painful stimuli were associated with significantly increased activity in the spinal trigeminal nucleus (SpV), thalamus, primary and secondary somatosensory cortices (S1, S2), anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), insula, premotor\u002Fmotor cortex, prefrontal areas, putamen, hippocampus and brainstem. Nonpainful stimulation of the trigger zone activated all but three of these structures (SpV, brainstem and ACC). the present study, we used the electronic version of the von Frey test to investigate the role of cytokines (TNF‐α and IL‐1β) and chemokines (KC\u002FCXCL‐1) in the genesis of mechanical hypernociception during antigen‐induced inflammation in mice. The nociceptive test consisted of evoking a hindpaw flexion reflex with a hand‐held force transducer (electronic anesthesiometer) adapted with a 0.5mm\u003Cjats:sup>2\u003C\u002Fjats:sup> polypropylene tip. The intraplantar administration of methylated bovine serum albumin (mBSA) in previously immunized (IM), but not in sham‐immunized (SI) mice, induced mechanical hypernociception in a dose‐dependent manner. Hypernociception induced by antigen was reduced in animals pretreated with IL‐1ra and reparixin (a non‐competitive allosteric inhibitor of CXCR2), and in TNF receptor type 1 deficient (TNFR1−\u002F−) mice. Consistently, antigen challenge induced a time‐dependent release of TNF‐α, IL‐1β and KC\u002FCXCL‐1 in IM, but not in SI, mice. The increase in TNF‐α levels preceded the increase in IL‐1β and KC\u002FCXCL1. Antigen‐induced release of IL‐1β and KC\u002FCXCL1 was reduced in TNFR1−\u002F− mice, and TNF‐α‐induced hypernociception was inhibited by IL‐1ra and reparixin. Hypernociception induced by IL‐1β in immunized mice was inhibited by indomethacin, whereas KC\u002FCXCL1‐induced hypernociception was inhibited by indomethacin and guanethidine. Antigen‐induced hypernociception was reduced by indomethacin and guanethidine and abolished by the two drugs combined. Together, these results suggest that inflammation associated with an adaptive immune response induces hypernociception that is mediated by an initial release of TNF‐α, which triggers the subsequent release of IL‐1β and KC\u002FCXCL1.
