The increased ECL intensity of glucose was linear with the logarithm of concentrations of glucose in the range of 50 μM–3.0 mM, and the limit of detection is 20 μM. Anti‐interruption ability was achieved, and ascorbic acid, urea, and uric acid had little influence to glucose detection. This method realized the direct detection of glucose by enhancing ECL of Au NCs and CQDs, which was fast and economic, possessing potential applications for glucose detection in human is a phenolic compound that shows important biological antioxidant activities. In this paper, the electrochemical oxidation of iodide in the presence of resveratrol was investigated using both platinum and glassy carbon electrodes. The experimental results showed a diffusion controlled process for the oxidation of iodide to iodine, followed by the chemical reaction of iodine with resveratrol. The possible applicability of iodine‐mediated reaction in the quantitative analysis of resveratrol was studied, obtaining sensitivities of 0.98±0.03 and 4.22±0.20 μAμM\u003Cjats:sup>−1\u003C\u002Fjats:sup> cm\u003Cjats:sup>−2\u003C\u002Fjats:sup> using platinum and glassy carbon electrodes, respectively. The resveratrol content in a sample obtained from the extracellular medium of elicited suspension‐cultured cells of \u003Cjats:italic>Vitis vinifera\u003C\u002Fjats:italic> was evaluated and compared with data obtained by HPLC analysis, with good correlations. Here we attempted to compare performance of the galvanostatic CPS with the potentiostatic normal pulse voltammetry (NPV). We have found that repeated 50 ms or longer NPV pulses denature the surface‐attached protein. Using shorter pulses and adapting other NPV settings we have been able to obtain a good resolution of native (folded) and denatured (unfolded) bovine serum albumin. A variety of approaches are adopted, including those involving polypyrrole and electrical impedance spectroscopy. Combined these are able to sense as well as aptly transduce signals. Many such sensors employ ferri\u002Fferrocyanide to exhibit surface hybridization. This redox reporter, though with merits, can prove disadvantageous. To this end, a comparative study was performed with the redox reporter hydroquinone. For comparison purposes ferri\u002Fferrocyanide indicated greater sensitivity, suggested to arise from inherent charge. Conversely, with hydroquinone steric hindrance is the main influencing factor. Cyclic voltammetry was used to determine the reduction potential for Eu\u003Cjats:sup>3+\u002F2+\u003C\u002Fjats:sup> and the applied potentials for spectroelectrochemistry. Single step chronoabsorptometry and thin‐layer spectroelectrochemistry were used to obtain the number of electrons transferred, reduction potentials and diffusion coefficients for Eu\u003Cjats:sup>3+\u003C\u002Fjats:sup> in each eutectic melt. The reduction potentials determined by thin‐layer spectroelectrochemistry were essentially the same as those obtained using cyclic voltammetry. The diffusion coefficient for Eu\u003Cjats:sup>3+\u003C\u002Fjats:sup> was the largest in the 3 LiCl−NaCl melt, showed a negative shift in the 3 LiCl−2 KCl melt, and was the smallest in the LiCl−RbCl and 3 LiCl−2 CsCl eutectic melts. The developed PEC analytical method towards BPA successfully overcomes the high oxidation overvoltage required in sole electrochemical (EC) method, which may lead to electrochemical polymerization of BPA and accumulation of intermediate products and then bring the passivation of the electrode. Under a very low potential (50 mV vs. SCE), a highly sensitive PEC response for BPA is obtained in the linear range from 4.5 to 108 nM with a limit of detection (LOD) as low as 2.0 nM. Simultaneously, by combining the surface molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) technique with PEC method, specific recognition of BPA can be realized on the PEC sensor, even in coexisting systems containing 100‐fold concentration of other substances with similar structures or chemical properties, such as hydroquinone, 1‐naphthol or triphenylcarbino. The PEC sensor also presents good applicability and high stability in real water samples.
